I praise the way
you hear music
in everything:
half filled glasses,
fork-tapped plates,
dog’s strident bark,
brake pads just installed.
I love how you get lost,
linger in music,
its cadences carried,
captured, its currents
connecting each life,
bridging worlds
so unalike, you hear it,
the harmony others don’t,
the rhyme that rises,
falls within us all.
